You would reach more people if you post on your state thread. This forum attracts members from around the USA & beyond. Otherwise is not seen/read by many

The article quotes Salmonella and Mice as the reason for the ban - outbreaks of infection are linked to commercial poultry and mice live anywhere there's access to food.
Sounds like someone in power has a prejudice against pet chickens

Here's hoping you can fight the ban and continue to have backyard chickens.
 
I am also fighting to keep DC from slipping in a law that would take away our wonderful chickens. Someone suggested getting on the local DC thread. How do I find that?

If you are a DC resident reading this, please sign our petition at the link below. Or, if you are a not a resident, put in a comment saying how great chickens have been for your community. We have only about two weeks to try to stop this ambush by some bureaucrats on our chickens..
