I'm new to raising chickens and I have 8-4 week old chicks in their brooder (in our laundry room-we don't have a garage) but their dust/dander is becoming too much in our home. We just built a coop from TSC and also built a 12x18 run that surrounds the coop. All but one of our chicks has the majority of their feathers (not their head though) except 1 who is taking a bit longer. When should I put them outside permanently? I live in the Hill Country (TX) and the temps are fluctuating between 78-90 for the highs this week and between 48-67 for the lows also. I'm concerned with them figuring out how to go up the ramp into the actual coop for sleeping and hoping the temps are ok for them. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think they'd be fine outside. I had my chicks outside at 3.5 weeks and it got down to the forties at night and the daytime temp wasn't much warmer.
I'd put them out in the daytime and bring them in at night for couple days first.

Fantastic...a huddle box sounds like the way to go! They are down the hill from our house and getting too big to transport back and forth...thank you both for your advice
