Received 4 rhode island reds 1 week ago and they are still unsure about coming out of the coop and into their built in run. I built a 3'x10' A-frame tractor for them so I can free range them in different parts of my yard. How long should I give them before I start? I don't want to stress them out. They don't run right to me yet so I don't want to upset them getting them in and out of the tractor. Thoughts? Is there a good way to start letting them free range slowly?

A week or two should be fine. You just want them to know where home is. Some of my birds were much more eager to adventure out then others.
