Does anyone do this? I have two fully grown pekin bantams (miniature cochins) and was considering getting two Orpington growers (about 10 weeks old so still quite small). I thought if I mixed them (carefully, separating them with wire to begin with) they would probably accept each other just fine. I have heard orpingtons are docile but being a lot bigger I thought they may deter the cats from coming into the garden. I know they would have different housing requirements but I think I can sort that fairly easily.
