Converted shed

I've covered the chicken wire with hardware cloth since the pics. The dog is a inside dog but from the house he's constantly looking out. He's already deterred one coyote. The chickens are never out in the open run without my wife home and her smith and Wesson at the door.

Hello welcome ,
Looks good the only thing I noticed is that your hens are standing on a 2x4 . I thought you should put it so they stand on the wider side so they can squat down and cover their feet?? Also it is easier on their feet if they're not griping on to their perch.

I'm from Canada and I'm sure you'll not get as cold us us... but still might be important

I've seen other setups that way so that's why I installed em that way. They seem to be fine with it and have no problems squatting or walking on them. But I'll consider your advice. Thanks!

That's a nice home you have made for your chickens. I agree with snow5164 about the roosts. The way you have it does work, but it will be more comfortable for your chickens if you turn the boards so they can stand on the wide side.

my only concern is my 2 leghorns have clipped wing and when they jump from the lower bar they sometimes miss the higher bar but if it is turned sideways it would definitely be hard for them to get up.
