edit: I guess this isn't really the knee and more the ankle? First time hatch first time with chicks. This little fur ball was having trouble walking, we thought they had leg displacement or whatever so we did the band-aid thing. 8 hours later when we checked again I noticed their knee looked all messed up, and they were not putting any weight on one leg. To me it looked dislocated so I extended and gently pushed the leg back into place and.... it looked good but then popped back out... I thought we should try to tape splint it but after realigning the leg a few times while trying to get the splint on boom it stayed in place. I think the picture speaks volumes to what i'm saying. Anyone ever have this problem any tips?
Checked on them a hour later and they were standing on the leg! Still limping around but actually standing on the leg.
