First time hatching duck eggs, second round of hatching eggs. Why has the duckling pipped in two spots? I have them in a cooler to hatch. I had 11 eggs in and than added 20 eggs a week later so I had to come up with a hatcher. The cooler is driving me batty trying to keep the humidity and temp at the right temp, lol. I'm happy the 20 eggs will hatch in the incubator, it's so much easier regulating everything.

how long has it been pipped?
i see a lot of fogging on the window what is your humidity at?
do you have any vent holes in your cooler??
is it still air or forced?

Maybe if they can pull out the vent plug it will let out the condensation?...
coolers dont have vent plugs, you have to drill holes
if it is 63 its fine
but something tells me its higher because of the condensation on the viewing window

its also raised because of the pip and the wet duckling inside

the vent is also very important because they need more oxygen, thats why you remove the vent plug on styros at d7-10ish

Yes...I understand all that..I will wait and retain anymore valued info you provide..

I won't yap..Only learn..;)....

Quote: Condensation depends on the temperature of the room the bator is in. Cool room means condensation will happen at a lower humidity.@DwayneNLiz I have a really cool chart that explains what I mean. Let me see if I can find it.
