Solar Electric Fence Charger

I have a run that is 10 x 30 and I don't have electric anywhere close. Has anyone used a solar charger and if so can you recommend a brand and anything else I should look for such as power rating.
 
We used a solar charger on our horse pasture at our previous location.....loved it. The one we used was a Zareba and it was still running strong after 7 years when we moved (horse stayed behind with my daughter and moved to a boarding facility so no way to say how much longer it would have kept going...). We were running three strands of hot wired around an acre of pasture and it was plenty powerful, it was the SP10

I also use a Zareba SP10. Mine is used to charge hotwire around pens holding broodfowl. A more powerful unit of same brand is powered by grid to charge perimeters where some burning back of vegetation is desired.

The solar powered unit adapted well to moving with a chicken tractor setup where all were moved like a fleet of ships across the field.
 
Thanks for the reply's , the 10 x30 run are dog panels and I have 3 foot hardware cloth at the bottom and a 18 inch apron out from the bottom. Thinking electric would stop climbers? Also looking for idea's to cover top.
 
If you already have a charger that's marine/car battery powered then all you need is a solar panel and controller.

20w panels are around $40 and sufficient to keep a battery for fencer charged. Controllers can be outrageous but an inexpensive simple unit is all you need, for example this one for $19:

Climbers of concern for me would raccoon and opossum. A wire or two about 6" apart going around perimeter will work. Make so they clear pannels by about 4". The panels can serve as ground. I move my pen around once in a while to let ground rest. Once climbers denied, then you can get away with something like deer netting to keep raptors (diurnal and nocturnal out) out. Deer netting will not catch wind nor will it be weigh down by snow. Possibly weakness would be a heavy freezing rain. I have deer netting a pen that has lasted 3 years and still good. Heaviest freezing rain it suffered was 1/2 inch.
