Check out Craigslist in Dayton for buff Cochin bantams. He's selling "pairs" of a cockerel and two pullets for $20. Some other guy has buff and black, but they might be FS. Bantam guy has a Greenville phone number.

Hello fellow Buckeyes ! Does anyone down here have Jumbo Coturnix Quail ? I'm looking for hatching eggs for the last week of June.

I am north of Dayton and I have the regular Coturnix. They are only 2 weeks old, so they may not be ready to lay that soon, but hopefully in July I would have some. PM me if interested.

What type are you getting ? We are about an hour from Dayton. I never knew there were so many of us in Ohio. It's good to know. Do you keep any other kinds of birds ?

I am new to quail. I only have 1. She is lonely for her own kind. How do the regular compare to the Jumbo in size ? Does anyone know of a local source for the Jumbos ? I see other kinds listed on craigslist.

I have the jumbos and always have plenty of eggs available. I've never had any other kind so I can't tell you how they compare. I sent eggs to Monarc23 this week; she compared them to her regulars and said mine looked huge.

Here's some of my eggs:

They are very easy birds to hatch and raise. Just PM or email me if you're interested.

Wow those are HUGE!!! I was really hoping to find someone locally if possible. I need to wait to get them until the end of June because we have a trip coming up and I want to have an empty incubator to come home to. I think I just want a small amount of them. I traded with someone and got Cuckoo Marans eggs and they gifted me with the quail eggs. The Marans hatched great but only 1 quail.
