Hello everyone! So glad I found this thread and what a great idea. I have some new chicks, (all from breeders) and I think one of my purebred blue ameraucana hens is turning into a rooster. We may be looking to re-home him or perhaps even bred him with our splash and blue hens. Depending on what we decided to do I may be looking for another silkie hen or roo as well. If anyone is interested in blue ameraucana hatching eggs let me know. Would be a little while but I am curious as to the interest. I will be re-locating shortly to Southern Ohio, a little south of Columbus.

Hello everyone. I just signed up. New to everything. I got about 45-50 baby chicks, they are 1-4 weeks old. Looking to buy young laying or about to start laying hens with roosters. 1 to 3 ratio about 20-30 of them
Also looking for jumbo coturnix eggs or little chicks.
It's all started 4 weeks ago. I got 8 chicks through school project. I fell in love with them. The next day I bought coop, incubator & eggs.

I had 35 chicken eggs & 20 quail eggs.
Not even thinking to ask, I placed all eggs wider side down. They wore like that for about 2 weeks. From 20 quail eggs i had 12 that hatched. Only 1 off them had normal feet. All 11 had those curled up feet. I tried feeding them and doing all I can, but they all died with in a week....that was really hard to handle...
I end up getting 12 chicks out of 35 eggs..... So now that only baby quail is with chickens.... He is a happy and healthy one
it was a learning experience for me...

Anyways, I live in North Royalton, if anyone with in an hour drive has anything that I mention to offer, please contact me
Thanks

Can't believe I've never seen this thread! I live in central OH, in Delaware County.....
Right now I'm trying to find new digs for some handsome young cockerals. I have three Marans left (2 Blue Coppers and a Splash) for $10 each and then I think either three, maybe four Bluebells...one's messin' with me and won't make it clear. They are a cross between Marans and RIR--above average egg production...unless they're roos of course. Three are mostly white with a few blue splash markings..$5 each. Then I have one Easter Egger that I 'think' is a roo...hoping not because he/she is beautifully marked...but being realistic, probably a boy. Also $5.
Not asking a lot, just trying to re-coop some of what I spent on them. They are almost 13 weeks old now and ready to have their own harem.
For more than one, the price is negotiable, or I'd be willing to trade them all for 2-3 pullets of some breeds on my wishlist...Cream Legbar, "real" Ameracauna, any Marans, blue or lavender Orp...not show quality, just healthy, pretty birds. I'm pretty flexible, just need to find a good home for these guys soon!

I can't remember if I posted on this particular forum before or not, but I live in Newark close to Utica. I have a Wheaton Ameracauna trio, a Bantam Lavender Ameraucana pair, a rose-comb RIR pair, and 11 cochins (5 are white smooth/normal, one is a white frizzle, 3 are mille fleur smooth/normal, and 2 are mille fleur frizzles). I just got them separated out into 8 pairs and a trio for breeding 2 weeks ago. I candled eggs the other day and 15 are fertile. There's about 7 more eggs that they've laid since then and I'll candle those on Friday. I'm letting them sit their eggs and see how they do with it.

I live between Dayton and Columbus Ohio and I am looking for a Black Copper Maran pullet/hen and a Buckeye pullet/hen to add to my flock :) My Pullets are 14 weeks old so I would prefer if they were somewhat near that age or older.
