My new hens are quiet compared to my 5 year old hen who goes crazy when anything unusual is happening. My neighbors complained because I got rid of my rooster. I am still hoping for a roo in my new batch but if I don't score there will be a few birds added this spring. We need a protector other than the guineas. I too deliver eggs to neighbors if I think they are being distrubed. So far all I have gotten is egg customers and lots of visits from grandchildren who love to play with the birds.
