11/12. One brown leghorn took root in the nest box for 45 minutes. She rolled the pink golf ball around and fluffed the bedding few times. When she was done playing "house", she hopped out of the nest box, and sang the egg song. But there was NO EGG. :rolleyes

Just heard the fourth song of the day (5 hens total), but someone laid from the roost and it was broken. Must've been a line for the boxes this morning! So, it will be three instead of four. Hopefully they are starting to pick back up from moult/winter.
