my eggs have been dropping off this week!..rant....from 15 a day last week to 8 today...hu

hmm Last week: four eggs total

tongue I had to buy eggs today.

ONE! But it's my first, and it's a beautiful greenish/light olive color from one of my EE's.  I was away from home all day and don't have a clue which of the 3 EE's laid it, but I'm finally in the "I have an egg" group!

Who knew chickens and ducks could be so much fun?

The critters....  3 horses, 2 llamas, 2 goats, 2 emus, 3 dogs, 8 cats, 1 turtle, 13 chickens, 3 ducks and 18 turkeys.

Yesterday, 2 eggs from 2 hens. Although production isn't always that high lately.

Never enumerate your barnyard fowl before the incubation period
1 awesome DH & 1 DM w/ Alzheimer's --1 GLW Rooster, 1 Golden Comet hen, 2 RIR hens, 1 Buff O, 1 BR. 2 Chicken-lovin' dogs.  And 4 new designer chickens from the mix. All on 1/bajillionth of an acre in the city.

1 egg out of 15 hens - it's freezing here w/ night temps in the teens and will be single digits next week so I guess that's a good excuse. big_smile
