16 from our 19 Gold Comets!!!

Twenty-two Black Sex Link hens, four guineas, one dachsund/whatever-was-loose-that-night dog, another who-knows-what-it-is dog, one long-haired, long-tailed cat with an attitude, 180,000 Italian honey bees (give or take 5 or 6), and one wife of undetermined origin.

Same here. I thought of starting a new thread but will just ask here.

What do you chicken experts think is the reason the last 4 days my chickens are laying less eggs and much later in the day? We are in a warming trend the last week.

Yesterday 5 of 7

Today 4 of 7

About like this the last four days. My chickens are all well under a yr old and until 4-5 days ago have been laying 6-7 eggs every day for the last couple of months.

Why the change? is it the weather? The moon? Etc...?

Queenie is still on strike. The roosters are still competing for her, so she's running away from them both. I ordered her a hen saddle today though.

One thing is for sure. The price of a dead hen is a dead pred.
