Have you or anyone else heard that Cincinnati/Hamilton County has a limit for urban farmers to only be allowed to have 10 live chickens at any time?

So far it's me and my husband <3, a healthy growing rascal of a kitten, a goldfish!
We are now waiting to move further south into Kentucky where we will have the opportunity to raise chickens and more

I am highly interested in raising and breeding Black Copper Marans plus Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, and Light Brahma Pullets for a start!

We need help. We need a processor for ducks in the northwest Ohio between Lima and Marysville. We can go north or south as well.

Some friends dropped off 15 ducklings at the end of May, asking us to grow them for butchering in August. We have a processor for our chickens and turkeys, but found out they do not do ducks.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Please PM me with any information that you have.

1 handy lovable hubby, 2 talented, loving sons, 2 precious daughters-in-love, 5 brilliant, beautiful, amazing grandchildren.

39 chickens, 6 turkeys and 5 guineas.

Blessed beyond measure, showered with blessings, standing on the promises.

There are two FDA inspected poultry processors in Ohio. One is Pleasant Valley Poultry in Baltic, OH 330-897-0626. It's probably further than you want to go, but if you call they might be able to point you to a local Amish processor (It's an Amish owned business). The FDA inspected only matters if you are selling, or crossing state lines. The other inspected place is somewhere in the Dayton area.  Good Luck!
