HEY GUYS! I realized that my girl's chickens have some really nutty names. Show me some pictures of yours with their crazy names!
My daughters first black silkie was named JuJuBee and her first white silkie was named Jimmie-Girl. She also has a white leghorn rooster named Disel.
My other daughter's leghorn is called Milky. My leghorn is named Scalpy because she was scalped by a hawk!! I LOVE CRAZY NAMES!!

Hmmm,

We have alot of names for our chickens, we'll see what we come up with if you like - Rumpy is one of our Araucana's, Bloodhead is a mix with a history (icky name but relevant), Cloud, Satin, Snowball, Rose, Felldoh, Q-tip, Picasso, Cinnamon, Tiny, Yin, Yang, Professor Tuft, Comet, Starbuck, Cream, Butter, etc, etc....I may come back, I have 70 plus chickens, they all have earned their names! Oh, I still gotta get pics, my Photo bucket is messed up at the moment!

Zelandia is my Australorp - because New Zeland is Nueva Zelandia in Spanish and half my family is Kiwi and half is Spanish.
And Australorps are from Australia, but Australia in Spanish is just Australia.

other animals...
Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang---Turtle
Super-Cala-Fragile-Istic-Exp-Aloe-Doe-Sish---Turtle (spelled just as it sound--may not be right but that's how we spell it)
Freaky Freddy--Cat

not sure how unique any of these names are, but they can be a bit different. Every animal here has a name....So I am sure I could think of more...It actually took me a while to think of these--as to me they aren't that unique because I say them everyday

I have only named one chicken. The neighbor's dog (named Maui) had gotten a hold of her, and luckily there were only a few missing feathers and a little bit of shock.
I think that maybe her little head got shook, and her brain got scrambled a little. At night, the Ladies would come from the other neighbors yard in a single file line. This chicken was always the last one. The first chicken would go around the run, and through the gate, over to the food to get a snack before bed. The second chicken would be right behind her, around the run, and in the gate. The 3rd chicken would go around the run and through the gate. The poor little brain scrambled chicken ould be less than a foot from the one in front of her. She would follow, around the run... and then go around the open gate. Then she would proceed to go past the gate, and start running back and forth along the fence, trying to figure out how to get in.
I thought she needed a Hawaiian name, being she was attacked by Maui. So I named her Lohi Moa.
It translates to...... mentally slow chicken
