YO GEORGIANS! :) - Page 194

I am looking for a Rooster to head my free range laying flock. Need one that is good to his girls and is protective. Show Quality is not a requirement. My Main roo will be heading to the breeding pen so I need one to fill his place. FBCM, any color Plymouth Rock, RIR, or EE is preferred. I you have one that fits the bill and please let me know. Thanks

I have a few EE/silkie mixes. Two of the boys actually got fairly big for a silkie mix. I also have a leghorn mix but he is a bit more flighty than the other boys but no problems with people. All the others are great with people and can be handled very easily.

I did post some of them on here. The black boy with the copper color on his neck found a new home yesterday.

Well it was turkey toting day here on the farm yesterday and again today.... We moved about 35 turkeys back to their breeding pens.  Hubby approaches it with great speed with his fish net.   I like to catch them by moving like an airplane behind them so my shadow moves them and catch under the wings right by the "armpits".....  No time for a video this time, but hubby wants to shoot the airplane technique.... I just think it's gentler on the birds....But oh my aching back,,,,those birds have picked up a lot of winner weight....So now they need to pay their way in eggs and poults!!!! Still have one hen and one jake pair (Holland White) and a few adult males if you need any.   Then we moved around some birds including my two silkie alarm clocks on the front porch, hope I don't oversleep in the morning....LOL....Still working on our website....I wish that picture loading was easier!!!! I'm about to decide it's easier to try a complete new rewrite...Facebook has spoiled us by making it so much easier to load pictures........But we still need that website since so many folks do not facebook.... Well, off to spend the budgeted our on the website!  Have a blessed evening.   Nancy

I just sold some beautiful Dark Mahogony RIR's. I wish I would have saw this post. The rooster is going to be very nice when he gets to be an adult.

I'll start them out in a condo built by Rubbermaid, and then move them to their new 2 story mansion when they are big enough.

We will have some chicks in the spring of RIR's. Ours are the dark mahogony ones. They are beautiful now. We have some new breeders we raised. They should be laying here soon, but it will be a little while before I start hatching them to give them a little experience on the laying and fertility subject. We have some photos on our website of them and our other breeders. Let me know if you might be interested and I will put you on the list to notify for them.
