At the doctors with hubby now as they decide what to do with his leg which just isn't healing right.

This is a partridge silkie and clack showgirl chick. The quality was the best i had seen yet from my bunch as far as skin and toes go.

People's opinions on the rooster threads are split right down the middle. Half the people are 100% certain he's a HE, the other half are 100% sure he's a SHE. I might be genetic testing him if the kits ever come.

You're right about the colors.....definitely boy coloring.  Here is Beau when he was younger....but, he had saddle feathers.  Will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

Almost the same colors, but yeah those hip feathers just don't look saddle-ish on mine, do they? About how old was Beau here? Rufio is about 4 months old now (and also still not crowing.)

Separate the feathers on the lower back and look for these little iridescent pointy feathers.  I seem to remember now that we thought Beau's brother was a girl because he didn't get his boy feathers in til later.  Beau was 7 months old in that photo.  I am thinking boy now.

This was from a couple weeks ago, before you could see the colors coming out as much. Is this it? I was just trying to show the colors when i took the picture, but could they be sadle feathers?

I'll try to get a better picture of him tomorrow. If he is a rooster, should I be spending extra time handling him? What's the best way to make sure he stays sweet? Or is it just luck?

In my opinion the more you handle them the sweeter they are.  I need to post pics of my babies, but for some reason half the time I have trouble just posting to BYC

But taking care of chicks for now and then getting them rehome first.
I have no clue where you are, but I might be able to rehome two hens here. I'd have to convince the hubby but he's really appreciating the girls now that the crowing and pecking us all gone...just waiting on eggs. We're in Mableton. If you're close.
