I thought I would update on my batch. It appears 8 of 12 are developing nicely! I have a Farm master candler that actually works very well for dark eggs. They are due in another week

NOTE TO ALL:
On this end, looks like a number of the mommies are going broody on me so I can't take anymore egg orders. I will fill those that have paid already with PayPal and will contact everyone else and let you know what delays, if any, there will be in filling your order. If you want to stay on "The List" that's great and I'll just let you know when I'll be able to ship and have you pay just prior to that.
Right now I have at least two that are broody and I've let them keep 3 eggs each but they are stealing the other hens eggs so I'm trying to set up something where they can stay in coop but have their own nest area. Looks like a third may also be going broody. Which is a good thing when you want to perpetuate the flock and breed, not a good thing when you are trying to sell hatching eggs and they won't lay anymore and won't get their broody butts up and back to work.
