Where do you buy chicks in the Chicago area?

I'm TOTALLY new to chickens. I work on a vegetable farm and we're interested in trying out selling chicken eggs, (this year mostly for fun, but if we get good at it, maybe for a profit). People on this site have said that Barred Rocks and RIRs are good starter chickens that are good egg layers. Now I need to find out where I can get these chickens and how much they cost. Not too many city-folk around here to get advice from! Thanks in advance for your chicken wisdom ; )
 
There are some BYCers from Chicago and outlying areas that may have some chickens for sale.

If you are game, you can come to the Kankakee Swap meets which there is TONS of chickens and poultry birds of all sorts along with livestock. Looks like things are so big!
 
I have a 10 month old flock I need to donate due to ordinance notice. 10 Rhode island Reds (9 hens 1 rooster) well behaved, clean and healthy good layers in flock with 4 nests available in coop. Will also donate the coop if you are willing to pickup. All I would like is a donation receipt or letter from your organization. email [email protected]
 
Do you still have them , I really want to have some chickens in my back yard
but I need just two . I don't know if this work for you . I am located in Chicago . Where you are located?
