HELP! Swollen Frostbitten Roo!!! *PICS!* Not eating/drinking!!!

he looks sooooo sad! I am sorry he's going through this ,poor guy!
I would go on webmd.com and look up frostbite. See what they recommend for humans such as creams and such. I would also call a feed/live stock store and ask about anti biotics. he's not looking so good! hope he'llbe OK!

I had a rooster that looked identical to those photos about 4 nights ago. He was leaning forward on the roost and had foam and liquid coming from his nose because he was leaning his head so far down. I immediately brought him into our basement and kept him in a large box. I found articles that dealt with this problem and they recommended draining. I did it with a sterilized razor blade. Blood and clear fluids drained for a few hours. He was so weak I held his head up and put Teramycin water in his mouth, to make sure he was getting plenty of fluids. The next morning his wattles looked almost normal and just tonight I put him back in the coop with the rest of the birds. I will be dubbing most of my birds this weekend if everything goes OK. Monday will be the New Moon and that is what the Old Timers go by. If it worked for them it should work for me.

I had him on a heavy dose of Teramycin for infection and I now have all the birds on a light dose in preparation for dubbing.

I don't claim to know much but that is what happened to me. Hope it helps.
