Do your chickens eat worms?? - Page 2

I found a worm in a wood pile that I was moving today. I went over to the chicken run and put him in there. He lasted about 1/millionth of a second.

I tell ya who knows about growing worms is chicken women. She sent me a PM once when I asked her about growing (raising?) worms.

I dont have chickens but I have lots of people come to me and buy worms for their chickens. So the answer is yes, it seems as though lots of peoples chickens eat worms.

Mine love them. They used to get into my compost pile where there are plenty of worms and grubs. Yum Yum.

My silkies won't eat worms but now my big chickens will eat all we give them.  They can't seem to get enough.

My chickens did not like earth worms either. Now I raise Meal-worms for my chickens, they absolutly LOVE them. The Meal-worms are raised in oatmeal, are very clean, and do not smell. You may wont to read up on them. I have never seen a chicken that turned down a meal worm.

My chickens love worms. They seem to have figured out that if we leave with the coat, when we get home they are getting worms, because they are all lined up at the fence waiting for us.

The 3 B's really loved worms as chicks, now they snub their beaks. I should have never given them cheese!

How can I get my chickens to eat worms, slugs, japanese beetles or any other bug?  I bring it to them, but they have no interest.

My chickens really like worms. Our young roos, however, don't seem to know what to do with them, yet. They peck at them but then leave them.

Our ducks, however, go CRAZY over worms!! We just bought a flat of 500 worms from a local bait store.
