Is there such a thing as a quiet rooster?

If there is such a breed, sign me up for a couple chicks ASAP.  lol

We recently had to get rid of our Saipan rooster (whom the not-so-close neighbors constantly complained about), and we were really sad to see him go.  He protected our babies wonderfully, and he was such a beautiful bird.  I think we should really have a rooster, especially since our hens free-range practically all day long.  I just feel horrible leaving them out without a bodyguard.

Soo...is there a standard breed chicken that doesn't crow loudly?  Or at least one that doesn't crow 100 times a day?  gig

The only quiet roosters are the ones in the freezer.

In every fat person there may be a skinny one screaming to get out, but in every skinny person there is a fat one screaming to be fed!

NO.

Don't get all your exercise leaping to conclusions!
