Mary, thank you so much for the creamed honey!  It is wonderful!  I do hope we were not too piggish and bought too much!  DH figured it might be a while before we could get more and he loves honey!  Now he is talking about getting bees.  Do you sell bees?

I enjoyed meeting you and putting a face to the name.

I am glad you like the honey.  I brought plenty in case anyone wanted extra.

I do sell bees some years.  Not sure what I will have this year (thanks to the bear).

The pigeons were the first things we saw at the show. I had no idea what they were! I asked some guy standing by them if they were quail. hu.gif  I didn't know. But what I do know is that were so cute! There was just something expressive about their little faces. I really liked them!

I would recommend either the class or find an experienced beekeeper to mentor you.  Even after taking the classes, we recommend that new beekeeper find a mentor.

Are you in Lancaster?  I'm not sure if there is a club in your area but if there is, that is a great source of information.  Contact you Clemson Ext. office.  They should know where the closest club is.  It would be worth while to attend even if it is a long drive.

Also there are a lot of good books available.

Well the guy was asking a whopping $5...I said let me think about it and when I sent Jesse back(he really wanted one) a man was buying them all...I chased him down when Jesse told me and doubled his money for Jesse's pick!! LOL

I appreciate all the great comments on my Orloffs...I love them but I also know mine are in the UGLY stage right now!!! I am just so proud because I have been wanting some for a while!! The parent stock for these are awsome!! I tried to pick an slightly older roo so I could pick a more white and flashy one( I like the lighter roos!).They guy even showed me and let me feel the prickly on a roo when you vent sex them.
