I have heard talk on here before about those...I would like to go! Not sure about Morganton though...I fly back in from working late the night before undefined

Silver/Gray Dorkings, Silver Sussex, Coronation and Light Sussex, French Black Copper Marans, White & Partridge & Paint & Splash Silkies, Bantam Cochins - both frizzle and smooth...(and maybe a secret here and there)...Just like everyone else...I need more coops!!!

The only Ameraucana roos I have are in blue and black.

Yes, the roo you have now is giving you EEs. I would not tell folks the chicks are true Ameraucanas but you should breed for what you like. Just tell people the truth about what you have.

No use ruining your reputation by misrepresenting the breeds you have. I get a lot of complaints from buyers about other breeders or sellers so I make sure I sell mine honestly and research a breed in full before breeding and selling anything.

Poor John! He still needs to finish coops at his own place and he is going to be one very busy man building for others. Can't wait til he gets a chance to visit here soon! big_smile.png

I agree!

My big hens are not that big(hatchery chicks from TSC last year) but lay well and Lucky the roo sure loves them...he has 9 gals and he has them all looking ragged...I am gonna have to make some hen saddles...He is a VERY busy boy!! BUT every egg is always fertile! The only ones not fertile at my house is my stupid wheaton Amers!!!

Seriously, that boy needs to get going with the ladies!

I know...I am considering getting a more agressive roo and putting him with my meek BLRW gals that I have not been able to add to my layer flock due to my layers trying to EAT them!! Maybe if he gets with younger gals he will man up and once he gets the idea...well who knows!! He is growing out nice!! But his muff stays wet!! Its just that he screamed and ran from them the first day so now they seem to think its fun. He hangs with them more now but there are still days he won't come off roost...

Welcome to the new members.

I dropped off two PQ silkie roos at a friends yesterday.  Always nice to find a good home for those extra roos.  celebrate.gif

Their house is absolutely beautiful! I could spend all day outside on the porch and deck, I think. The first time Lou Ann took me over there, she had 15 chickens. As you saw, chicken math hit! They are a wonderful family and only live about 10 minutes from Lou Ann and I. You will have to get some blueberries from there this summer, for sure.

I am already planning a trip back during blueberry season.  I have bushes but they are not old enough to produce very many berries yet.  I can't wait to see her yard during the summer.  I know it will be gorgeous.

My dh and I built our house.  I know how hard ours was.  Theirs is amazing.  I can only imagine how much hard work it took to build something that beautiful and well designed.

Well, holy moly! Now I want to deliver their BLRW chicks instead of them picking them up here when they hatch in a few weeks! Sounds like a gorgeous place! I haven't been on that road in about 20 years so I am sure it would be a big change.

Ooooooohhhhhhh, I want photos of her and her date! I never get to hear the good stuff!

She wouldn't tell me anything. Other than they went out to eat and she came home - school the next day. She hasn't mentioned it. I know they are talking in texts. It was a weeknight to and the only way she goes out on a weeknight is due to work and school schedules.

Doesn't she know that inquiring minds want to know??? We live vicariously through our kids!!
