What a pain Trisha.  Did you send them a note stating that they were using your picture?

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

Trisha, what a pain!  I hope you called them out on that.

On a happy note, my Trisha eggs go into lockdown this evening.  I candled last night so tonight all I had to do was add water.  10 are looking REALLY good fl.gif.  Hatch date is 05/26/12 wee.gif

Yeah, I emailed them. I know someone else also has that pic on their website, but they asked and do have some of my birds.

I've been trying to water mark all the good pics I've taken, but geez it's a pain when I just want to share some photos with you guys.

Here's a pic I took today of some of my project hens. I have 5 blue hens/pullets that are now laying and about 7-10 more little blue pullets of various ages.

Wow, they look great!  "Re-creating" a color takes so much time and effort, but it shows in your girls.  I can not wait till you get some Silver Barnies, is it possible to get on the waiting list a year or two in advance lau.gif

those blues are gorgeous.  Is this the only way we can get blue barnvelders?  Will we ever be able to show them? Gail

Aya,

You could show them, but I believe the highest they could be placed would be BV since the color isn't recognized yet here in the US.

I've posted tons of pics and haven't watermarked all of them, but it would be nice if people would be polite enough not to use photos with out asking.

How RUDE!  That's just bad business IMO!

Here is the F1 Mom:

Now here is her F2 Daughter:

You’ll notice the F2 shows quite a bit of improvement in the Type and coloration, especially the lacing.  The RC still needs quite a bit of improvement but I expect I’ll get a pretty decent RC once I get me a nice RC male to cross back to the F2 gal.

Right now I plan to hatch out about one more dozen of the pure Standard Barnies and then I’m going to put the RC’s back in with the rooster.  I think I've got a half dozen RC chicks now but I don't know if they're from the F1 or F2 yet because I early on I just set them all in the pen to hatch some chicks.  Now I'll go back and hatch a bunch from the F2.  I tell ya though, I saw one RC chick today that has really nice yellow-orange legs!  Sort of like the bird on the left in that pic of yours Trisha.

Now if I could just get all my birds to have those!

God Bless,

Very cool... I like the look of the RC on the barnies....

It is copyright infringement if they use it for advertizing. I would call them. And are they using stock they got from you as eggs or something? Might be interesting to know.
