We have had them for years now, we have green, brown, black. The blue shows up from time to time, I like that color the best.

Julie,
Those are some beautiful Scovies you have there!  I love Hershey!  I can see why you would want a chocolate drake.  So sorry to hear you lost your sweet Ferdi.  hugs  What was going on in that pic of her?  gig  Would she just lay like that for you?

Thank you. I really love muscovies and get so excited when they hatch out different colors.

Fredi loved to lay on her back and get her feet rubbed.  Her mother had rolled her out of the nest(as an egg) the day she was hatching and when my DH found her she was half out of the egg and very close to death.  Her mother didn't want her because she was hatching a week and 1/2 before the others.  Any ways, Ferdi thought of us as her parents and she loved it when we "preened her" and she would flip over to get her feet rubbed lol

Here is a few pics of her

Baby Ferdi:

Ferdi with Mom and sister:

Sadley Ferdi was hurt by we believe a bob-cat and died of her injuries, but before she was attacked she had layed 3 eggs in a nest and I incubated them.  I have 2 daughters from her and one looks a lot like her. The third egg was a dudd.

Ok I have rambled and now took over this thread; Sorry tongue

Any more muscovy pics out there?

Those pic's of Ferdi are ADORABLE! lol      I'm so glad you have pic's of her to remember her by and also 2 offspring.

I'm hoping some others w/Muscovies post pic's.  They are so much fun and I've only had mine a few days.  It will be fun to hatch out some this summr once my girls start laying.  smile

I will have a lot of eggs, but I have never shipped any.  I'm willing to give it a try though.  I would need advice on packaging and shipping; but I think  I can do it, others do.

They aren't laying quite yet though maybe by the end of Feb.

Let me know if your interested.  Oh and they would be assorted color, I don't have enough true colors to guarentee a certain color.

Beautiful scovies everyone! They're my favorite breed of duck, I dont know what I'd do without them.

I had an awesome drake named Milk, but he was killed last month. I've since gotten a new drake, named Lurch.
