if I use the scovies to hatch chicken's eggs will they raise them for at least a month? will they cover them at night?
anyone else who has experience with this is welcome to advise me.
I don't have experience since I've never let my ducks sit chicken eggs before, but the chicken eggs may not hold up under a duck feet or weight of body. they aren't near as tough as a ducks egg.
Thanks for saying. I would think those fat butts and big feet would be a problem...lol
I am concerned about that too. but I noticed that my duck never jumped on the eggs as my hen did and broke 1. if I decide to put chicken eggs under a scovie I will tell you the results.
in meantime any advice or opinion are welcome.
I have 6 female Muscovy's they are small but weigh quite a bit more than my hens.
