I am going to try and get some photos of my new lavender Muscovy ducklings. They are so adorable and hate me kissing on them but I can't help it!
I also have a black and chocolate pied Muscovy girls setting on eggs from their breeding pen. They do love being moms. I hope they all hatch. The ones in my bators are doing well but you just never know with them sitting on them how many times the other hens come in and mess with them.
And Herman, my big old Muscovy drake that is "who knows how old" has learned a new word this spring. "Treat". They have never cared for cat food but I found they love the organic dog food I give the Great Pyrenees so every afternoon I call to Herman and the girls and if I say treat, he comes bounding, as fast as his chunky legs will bring him! LOL It did not take him long to learn that word either! And naturally, the girls have to follow to get their share.
