Ok I have question. My bantam Olive Eggers just started laying and I was wondering which roo I should breed them with? Should I use another Bantam olive egger or a Bantam Marans?
 

I have Bantam welsummers, Bantam Cuckoo Marans, Bantam Wc black polish, Bantam Olive eggers, MGB, LF Welsummers, BCM, Wild type turkeys RioxEastern, Ringneck pheasants blacks and 1 blue roo and bunch of free range birds

It depends if you want the eggs darker or not. If you've acheived the level of darkness you want, I'd try the bantam.

Friesians, Sebrights, Barnevelders, Araucanas, Cream Legbars, Dutch Bantams, Vorwerks, an Appenzeller Spitzhauben, a Sabelpoot and a few crosses .

Which Bantam? I have both Bantam Marans and olive egger Bantam Roos

In the f2 generation it is possible to get several colors. If you want to increase the number of oe breed oe to oe; this still results in a variety of possible colors. Using the marans results in all the eggs having at least one coat of brown-red paint and overall a variety of colors. If it was me, I'd do both, just not at the same time.

Too many times back to Marans will give you khaki or back to brown.....

Mother to 4 wonderful children, grandmother to 4.  1 DH (39 years), 1 pug, 1 Basenji, 1 dashshund mix (notice I put my DH in that same group! hahaha)  6 EE's, 1 Buff Orphington, 1 RIR, 1 Silkie, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Brown Leghorn, 1 Polish, 1 Welsummer.  Hope to fill my basket with different colored eggs!

Wonderful! I just started getting eggs from my pullets, but my olive egger hasn't started yet. Love the colors.
