weak trembling legs

Thread Starter

our big Blue Laced Red Wyandotte rooster has for the last few days started to walk funny and will walk a few steps and then lay down, his legs are also trembling. We have looked for signs of infection or bumble foot and there are none. He is eating and drinking normally and still crowing very well. Any suggestions or treatment options would be appreciated. Thanks

Edited to Add:  We have him seperated from the main flock

Laura, I don't know the answer, but I am hoping someone will.

Have you searched BYC for the symptoms? That has helped me a LOT!

HEy COuntry girl.... I wish I knew the answer... I have a 1 year old French Copper Maran who is doing the exact same thing... very weak and shakey legs... eating and drinking fine as well as crowing normally.  I am very worried about our boy as it seems that even with added vitamins and fresh greens he is not getting any better.
