New BST Policy -- questions

Quote:
ps .... the BST Forum is not some private little club .... we are each members, and would each choose to use it in our own way.

Finding the balance is the key, not banning certain uses just because others feel slighted.

huh? Who is talking about private clubs and banning?

Me.

Any change in the rules that prevented one set of users, and favoured another would discriminate.

You might not like the term, but *private club* sums that situation up nicely.

I am not in favour of a free for all, but your suggestion of *sell here or sell elsewhere*, but not both would hamper the perfectly reasonable practises of members.

I am done here. I rather think the Staff understand my position perfectly clearly, and they will consider it along with everyone elses.

We understand both positions above and took this into account when the rules where drafted. From our combined experience here and on other forums the rules implemented neither severely restrict or favor anyone.

Clearly worded titles with state listed helps people locate what they want.
Keeping sales and general chatter on their respective forums helps buyers and sellers alike.

According to stats and member input most potential buyers here will not even bother with a BST add that is more than 2 or 3 pages long because they have learned 9 times out of 10 after all that reading the original items have been sold.

I tend to agree, and I think Sara does too.

If it is directly related to the item for sale, in order to clarify information related to your buying decision, the questions and answers are fine.
