how to tell male from female guineas

So if all I need to do is look at the feet....or just wait 'til they are making distinguishable sounds.....why do 5 of my keets have the stripes on the head like this one in the photo, while the other 11 just have the strip of gray with white on each side? That doesn't mean male/female then? Dad is white and mom is pearl. Anyone know what the stripes mean?

The keets with the stripes on their heads shown in the picture are fully pearled. The keets with the solid stripe and white on either side are pieds, meaning they'll have some white on their chest and/or wings. Has nothing to do with male or female.

We decided that our female Maude,, who wanders willy nilly and always ends up behind a barrier, is saying, "I'm lost, I'm lost..."  The male  (Claude) then has to scream  "I CAN SEE YOU BUT I CAN'T GET TO YOU BUT I WILL FIND YOU DON'T GIVE UP".  All at high volume, and repeated over and over, of course.  All she ever says is, "I'm lost."  She's definitely the quiet one, who drives poor Claude crazy!
Thats awesome names, claude and maude. I'm still trying to come up with names for ours, but nothing seems right. Somedays it's "you lousey sob quit stealing the chickens treats" and others its "what handsome kids you are today" just depends on what buttons their pushing that day. Can't stay mad at them though cause they are so goofy looking that they make me laugh even when their terrorizing the chickens.

Well, we are trying to tell the males from the females bur live in Mexico so does that mean the males will have M for macho on the bottom of their feet and the girls will have H for hembra????
