We had our 1st egg this morning. It is the tiny one on the right. Its a start.

Just posted a pic of these two on a separate thread.

 

Don't know which of pullets laidIMG_6727.jpg the 22g little brown egg, but I'm absolutely sure who laid the 104g whopper.  An outsize Naked Neck she always lays eggs of 90g or more.

Our first egg from our first ever chickens has arrived!!  wee.gifNow we can't wait for the others and/or 'till we have enough for a meal!!

It was a Barred Rock or a White Rock or a Delaware (I know it wasn't the EE- wrong color!) all are 24 wks.

When it rains you can choose to look down in the mud puddles or up to God's rainbow!

Yayyyy! First egg today! After only an hour "labor" Sulu, my buff black tailed japanese bantam, laid her first egg at exactly 26 weeks to the day and two days after squating. celebrate.gif

Here is mine. It was kind of like my first garden when the tomatoes got ripe only better. I am looking forward to borrowing a roo so I can get some chicks in the Spring.very first egg.jpg
