Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

My first egg!!! I'm so proud!!! I have red sex-links and they are about 16 weeks old. Only one laid, but 7 out of my 9 are doing the squat-dance, so I'm hoping that means more will be laying soon. I guess I can't call them free-loaders any longer! They must've took me serious when I threatened them to either start laying my breakfast or they would become my dinner!!!

got my first egg yesterday I think one of my Red Sex-links laid it because she laid another one to day...but it was a little bigger about the size of a med. size store bought egg and it was lighter in color. so it could have been a different hen yesterday that laid this one. but either way it was laid by a 16 week old...to be exact they are 16 weeks and 3 days

BLUE EGG!! We have had chickens for a while, but this is our first blue egg!!

Our first eggs. Mom helped me to blow these so they will last a long time! They range from white to pink to brown.. and even one thats light pink with white speckles!

Size comparision... there are only two store bought eggs.... can ya guess which ones are mine?!

Found these on July 4th. but they must have been from different days. They are from my red sex link pullet. The larger egg had 2 yolks inside! Each yolk was about the size of a nickle.

My 11 year old has been waiting and waiting for this day. She went out to open the coop and I hear her yelling "We got an egg, we got an egg!!!" We think this is from our white plymouth rock "peepers". She is 18 weeks old. We also have a jersey giant that is the same age so we are hoping "raxi" will start soon to.
