People who don't pay attention and wipe out your new car!:thun
People who do other things besides driving while driving, like reading a map, talking on the cell and here's a new one for me, Brushing your Teeth while driving...ep
I also can't stand the ones who turn without a directional, or leave the directional on.
My favourite story was during a snow storm and I was creeping along and there was a car behind me and she was trying to go around me and wound up in a ditch.woot I made it home safely because I wasn't driving like a jackleg...
Another biggie for my is when an idjit tries to hit an animal that's in the road.  That happened a few weeks ago. There was a bird in the road and I saw it and stopped to go get it...stupid me almost got wiped out by the buttswab behind me who wanted to squish the bird. The bird was fine and I was fine, but PO'd beyond belief.
There's also the people that see a hurt animal and don't stop. I retrieved a baby crow that was hit and took him to the Wildlife Center.  He died under anesthesia, but at least I did the right thing.

I hate it when SUV's or big trucks/pick-ups come up behind me and BLIND me with their lights.
Or on coming traffic with their lights on bright/high beams... blinding everyone! (thats for California driving)
In Nebraska where we are now - people drive a little slower than we're used to........  I guess we have to slow down some!

Folks talking on their cell phones not paying attention when they are doing their right turn ... I nearly got ran over by a pretty blond haired girl that was yakking away on her cell phone and just zoomed around the corner, nearly clipped me. Jeez!

Older folks just slow down and then speed up to pass you and then slow down again that you had to pass...this would go on for four miles.....

People half asleep on the wheel, like my hubby....after five minutes on the highway, he would just be soooooo heavy lidded, weaving and jerking to stay awake and I spoke to him rather harshly ARE U AWAKE NOW!!!! He says yeah I am awake and not tired.....go figure!

Over cautious or hestiating drivers.....too many close call accidents ... my hubby is one of those over cautious drivers. Cant pull out waiting to turn left because there might be some car might hit me on the side or mis judge the distance or cutting off someone in your blind spot.....I think hubby needs to get another driving course LOL. Ever since I have been with him, I almost got into many scenerios of near accidents with his overcautiousness driving in my whole life. Now, you folks tell me what I should do with him???????His response of his overcautiousness driving is Im still alive, aint I??? Yeah, but look at the near close accidents you are creating!!!!

For those who are emergency or police...I am sure you guys get into near accidents with someone who didnt hear or dared to cross the intersection at a yellow turn red light.......not all of our city lights would turn at the signal of an emergency response vehicles...I have seen this more too often.

My friends Dad (Hans) just got in a accident in Vegas. We loaded all this furniture for him into the U-Haul truck. He was waiting at a light the light turned yellow. (He was turning left) All the cars stoped he went for it, someone turned right trying to beat the light (oncoming) he hit  Hans' passenger wheelwell. The car behind his Hans plowed into him also. The Cop cited him for an unsafe lane change that caused an accident. A double ticket.... Amazing

This thread is perfect for me today!!! It took nearly an hour today to go 10 miles going back into Maine from NH!!! TOURISTS!!!!!! In my DH's non-air conditioned car with a disgruntled 2 year old in the back seat! And of course if people would pick a lane and stay in it, then traffic would go much smoother. But do they? NO!! They keep switching lanes which makes other people to have to slow down and next thing you know traffic is at a stand still, again!

Okay, I know some of you city folk think that is nothing but I'm not city folk! 10 miles takes 15 minutes, unless you are me then it takes 10 minutes to go 10 miles tongue. JK

And another thing...I learned to drive on back roads and usually am driving a twisty back road. I know how to take a corner unlike some of these tourist, one state in particular ( I won't name states, but you know who you are!!) who are used to driving on straight highways. They drive outrageously fast into the corner and then have to stomp on the brakes halfway through because otherwise their giant SUV would roll over. Now I drive an SUV so it's not that you have to be a genius to drive one, the trick is slow down before you get to the corner and accelerate halfway through. That's the way they teach you in drivers ed and that's how race cars are driven!!! Why can't people learn??? GRRR! GRRR! GRR!

Don't get me wrong, I know tourists help drive the Maine economy, but why can't they take the bus or Amtrak or even a plane. Heck you can even take a cruise ship! But no they have to take their car so they can drive incredibly slow looking at fall leaves and pine trees and my goodness forget about a moose! Oh look their's a farm stand, quick slam on the brakes and nearly cause an accident so you can get some beans!

Okay I feel better. Wow! I love this thread!
