We have been using the 3 Gallon Little Giant unit for about a year and a half. Our local co-op got these in for us at a bulk price. The lady we deal with at the co-op told us we really needed...
I installed the door, photo sensor and solar panel last year. Once I got it set up it has worked flawlessly ever since. The only small problem I had was getting the connections to the battery to...
I can't say I have a ton of experience, but I do have a nine day old Mallard duckling named Pyrrhos(getting her some companions on Friday or Saturday). She is very talkative, but I don't mind the...
If these waterers aren't fairly level they leak -- that's pretty obvious. We don't have a lot of flat level spots in our chicken areas, so decided to hang our waterers and let gravity level them...
I bought and installed several of these at one time and they all leaked right away. I removed one and took it back to the feed store where I bought it to ask for advice, and was told I wasn't the...
Thanks Paulajon,
If they are coming from McMurray, they are probably Easter Eggers, rather than true Ameraucanas. Now I'm starting to think maybe I should try Icelandics .....
So many breeds to try!
Showing off the two newbies from today. Buttercup is the pullet. If we keep the cockerel, he'll be dubbed either Spartacus or Westley. Can't decide if I want to keep him or exchange him for a pullet....
This here is either Straw or Berry, with Lily in the background...
And my youngest showing everyone the water dish last night. lol
Patti - Ringleader to two crazy boys, plus a new princess.
Chicken Math strikes again... 11 hens, 1 rooster, 3 pullets, 17 chicks, and more in the 'bator.
Fur-mama to Dodger, Oliver, and Cici. Foster dog-mama to many!
I have hatched out some Icelandics, hoping to get some more eggs to hatch before winter sets in. I have 3 now, had 4 but lost one. I also got into the Buckeyes, they really seem like an interesting one.

they pretty much look like their parents. I have one chick now that is identical to them but still can't tell for sure if pullet although am leaning towards pullet. I really wish I knew for sure what breed and mix they are.

right now they are in with my whole flock as I needed their pen for a broody hen that decided to sit on eggs in the nest box and I was afraid the chicks would fall to the floor and not be able to get back to momma. I could put them in another pen but I only have the one hen so would take a while to get eggs together.

I have eggs in my bator should be hatching july 4th, so after that if you have eggs from them let me know, even if it was a couple of eggs
