Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

what are yours? not sure how old mine are, got them locally at a feed store- they seem pretty active and friendly

Congrats!! Beware...these fluffy things are addictive. I started out with 6 ee chicks (female). A week later I added 7 barred rock chicks (f). Now, I have over 100 chickens, (80 ish are pullets/hens and I am a member of egg eaters anonymous) and 25 ducks.

Have fun watching them grow, they get big quick!

Pic of my three baby frizzles I got surprised with.

pilgrim geese, loads of ducks, lotsa chickens, seramas (feathered pocket puppies with style!) bourbon red turkeys, coturnix and button quail, a milk goat, flemish bunnies, a great dane, beagle, dalmatian mix, sun conure, green cheek conure, DD, DH, and the One True God!
