Will I get extra chicks from my pet chicken if I only ordered 8 chicks? I have read that a lot of people get packing peanuts. Do you think i will be getting some extras? I just want to be prepared.

Buffy is our only Orpington. She is independent, lower on the pecking order, but big, fluffy and likes to cluck. She lays frequently when not broody. She's my only brooder so far that I have...

These are my first chickens, gifts from a daughter for Christmas. Once they started laying, it's rare to have a day without one egg from each hen. They come when I call them, stay close to the...

I don't know if mypetchicken puts packing peanuts in since they include a heating device with their orders. Email and ask 'em!
I don't think My Pet Chicken uses packing peanuts. That's why you pay so much more for shipping, they use heating packs.

Yes you will get extras. And they will probably be roos.
I think you are thinking of Ideal Hatchery.

We do not include "packing peanut" chicks with our orders. Occasionally we'll include an extra chick, but it will always be of the same breed and gender as other chicks in the order. You can find more information about our shipping process here, http://www.mypetchicken.com/How-can-so-few-chicks-arrive-at-their-lo-H1.aspx and http://www.mypetchicken.com/How-come-you-can-t-ship-just-one-chick--H12.aspx?
Please feel free to give us a call or send us an email at info@mypetchicken.com if you have any additional questions.
