Darn - my incubator is occupied. I am student teaching right now in a 'inner city" (for around here) school. I am doing a whole thing on chicks as most of these kids are from poverty level homes and never get to see things like baby chicks. The curriculum theme that I was assigned to teach from is even called "Down on the Farm". Works well for me!

I need to whittle down the flock some anyway or find that new home I want out in the country.

I'll test incubate from your new chicks though next March tongue

9 weeks old today... update photos on the 3 remaining silkies.
Any opinions on quality are appreciated.  I'm still learning! tongue

Now, keep in mind, these are all supposed to be black silkies from show quality parents...

What happened to the other chicks?  IDK anything about type but to my eye I like #3.

Oh how sweet!
Hmmmm.....my guess would be roo............roo........hen and #3 the prettiest.

Simetimes mine seem to have a narrow small comb .....but it is then usually a hen.
The evil silkies are again at work confusing evrryone!gig
