Whats the next type of food we should use???

I have 8 week old pullets and they are almost out of the medicated food we got from the breeder/farmer what type of food is next. Is it to soon to start with laying mash????

Yes, it's WAY too soon-too much calcium for them. If you can find developer, use that, but if not, get some starter/grower, either medicated or not and keep them on that for another 8 weeks at least.

someone told me grower was for frying chickens I dont want to do that. Is it still ok for laying chickens?

You can use the chick starter until 8 weeks, then grower until 20 weeks when you'd switch to layer feed. I had to go and look this up...you'd think I'd remember...th
