Ditto to what everyone else says. A duck egg feels waxy and is a whitish color.

 

This is a pic of some of my eggs hatching last spring, you can kinda see what color the eggs are. The eggs in the pic are from Rouens and Pekins.

Makes sense that the eggs be a little waxy, a wet duck hen over her eggs could cause problems for egg without some water proofing.
