Covering for chicken pen - any ideas?

JC, I meant to ask, on the chicken wire, I'm assuming you had to use several pieces, did you just tie the seams together? That's what I did with the netting seam, used to black auto ties. I'll probably change over to chicken wire this Fall. I've looked at it at the feed store and they have huge rolls of it in wider lengths but pretty pricey. I looked at the deer netting but I needed more than 7' wide to cover. I've always been able to bump the snow off the netting in previous winters but this snow was weird, it had rained nonstop for two days and then the snow was huge wet flakes and just kept on coming down. Had the 3 grandkids over and they're all small and I just couldn't keep up with the snow, the chickens, AND the kids! LOL

I used the BLACK netting from Lowes in a roll. It is very durable and has covered our Call ^ Muscovy pens for 3 years now with no signs of degrading.

It's been thru Blizzard conditions as well as 50mph winds. I think it's called Wildlife netting or maybe Deer Netting. Don't buy the green one they have. It breaks easily after one season.

I had to recover the pens with the black.
