what i think? i think that chichester had a totally different group than the others, i think that milford holds its own and merrimack if not for you know who, is a great place to have the swap.

We are planning to go to the Milford one on the 26th.   Hubby is going to an auction on the 25th, so that helped us decide which day---LOL.    Not sure about May 2---i'll probably be working on my garden that weekend.   I also want to go to the Milford swap on May 23---to get chicks from Cindy.

My main order of baby chicks is coming this week, but they called me to tell me they lost their welsummers over the weekend due to an incubator malfunction.  sad   I only had one on order---it was the only one available when i placed my order.   But i will be getting my other chicks this week---including easter egg layers, barred rocks, buff orpingtons, and NH reds.

BTW, my coop is ALMOST done!   Woohoo!   I started it on March 28th, and i think it'll be finished this week.   Of course i have to fit it in between paretn-teacher conferences, feeding the baby, and other appointments.  smile   I haven't yet figured out how to post pictures here, but maybe i can post a link to my snapfish photo album??

I have never used snapfish for photos ,
photo bucket is complicated enough for me,
but if it is anything like photo bucket you just up load your photo to the site and then  copy the link for forums and web pages and then paste into the body of the post, just be sure to  leave a space between words and  photo. its easy enough where I can do it, so any one should be able to.

No I had 2 incubators go to  hockey sticks on me this week. I caught teh last one cause it was making a weird noise but the silkie one wasnt making any noise and was running at about 90 when I caught the problem, chicks got only to about 3 weeks and quit. bummed me out.

right now all I have are the 2 still airs running, one with duck and geese and theother I had to put the wyandots from Val into  as they are due to hatch friday. I am just hoping the move didnt mess them up.

I have to contact Lyons and get a new replacement fan for one and a new heat eliment for the other,   barnie
might be cheaper to just buy 2 new bators lol.

oh no. you must be so upset. I think I would have cried.  right now all I have is 1 silkie laying.  all the others have decided they want to be moms.  I have 2 in 1 nest box with chicks due this weekend.  I gave them 9 big eggs and 9 bantam.  they are alone with a roo. he sits on the eggs with them sometimes. should I take him away before the chicks hatch?

Ahahahaha,
and here I thought I had the only weirdo rooster that sits the eggs.
I had never seen or heard of a broody rooster untill the Blue Orpington decided they were his eggs and would peck  and swat every time I tried to take his eggs.
fortnately for me I won the battle.

I seriously thought it was a hen untill he crowed one time. LOL.
