Why did my Chicken die?

I just found my 1 year old Buff Orpington had died in her coop. She was my strongest, largest, most friendly chicken and the best layer. She had no symptoms or signs of any injury. What could have happened when she's so young?

It was free? How do you need to store the body until you can get there? I had a silkie die unimpededly last night with no prior symptoms
