Bald lump on hen's chest

I have silkies and they are laying regularly now.
However, I was petting one of the hens in the nest today, and felt a golfball size lump on her chest. It's kinda soft....it's also bald on her chest. The rest of her is fully feathered.
Any ideas? Is this the crop?

Also, I have one hen that seems fine in every way, other than she has gone bald in a mask like pattern around her face/head.
None of the others have.

WTF??

I am a new chicken mom for the most part.

The ball is the crop and when it is full it can be bare. I would make sure the ball is gone tomorrow before she eats to make sure nothing is impacted.
 
what baldie said... some chickens get bigger than others some you never even see... She probably just binged before you picked her up...
