Goose has deformed legs

Thread Starter

Well 13 ducks arrived today from MM and 2 sebastapol geese. One goose is not doing well at all. Seems it is unable to walk, its feet are curled up, but when i straighten them they looks normal.
I have been giving it water every 1/2 hour with a dropper and also gave it some baby vitamins.
They are all drinking quick-Chik.
Here is a picture, and advice?

Now my other gosling is showing similar symptoms a week later! Not able to stand up, but alert and healthy otherwise. It does hobble around.
Any advice?
Thanks
Amy

I would maybe post in the emergencies section to see if anyone there would be able to help you..I wish I could, but the only thing I can think of is to make little splints for her legs to try to straighten them. I used to rescue muscovy ducklings at a nearby pond when i was younger every spring. I would make little splints for their legs.

Good luck and that is one adorable baby!!!

Ask Ms Prissy how to make some shoe soles  out of cardboard and tape them on the feet with bandage tape. This is to train the toes to straighten out in a natural extended position.
Then tie a string between the legs at natrual distance  to keep the legs from collapsing outward.

its more that his/her legs are weak. She was walking and running around yesterday, this hit all of a sudden. Weird..
