For me, it depends on the egg and how the design fits. So I do both tongue

My girls are youngins.  One eggs today.  My hatchery gold sex-link.  Gotta love her.  Little red hen that lays an extra large medium brown egg everyday.

Can someone tell me how many layers or how thick to apply the mod podge, and does anyone use the mod podge clear acrylic sealer in the spray can in addition or instead of the brush on stuff???

I use the spray on mod podge instead of brush on.  The brush on was a PITA, or maybe I just didn't know what I was doing.  tongue

Send pictures when you get them finished.

I have these in bantams: cochins, polish, sultans, salmon faverolles. I have laying hens, RIR, black sexlink, red sexlink, ideal poultry special,  and Easter eggers.  I have Sebastopal geese and some pet ducks and goats.

I got a can at walmart.  On the bottle of the paint on stuff there is an instruction on the back saying to eliminate tackiness, apply Clear Acrylic Sealer over cured Mod Podge.  Thus the question if I should use both.  It sound like people have been using one or the other but not both like suggested on the bottle

I spray painted a dozen eggs today (gold, copper, burgundy). I can't wait to start with some of the rub-ons tomorrow!

So, in the mean time, I decided to try the heat embossing on a few cracked eggs I had.  I used the embossing pen to write, embossing powder and the heat gun, wow....I was surprised it worked!  Wished I was better at free hand he  (thank goodness for the rub-ons)
but, I thought some of the talented crafters would like to try it. smile

I couldn't get that web address to load so I just typed in www.nowell.net & it took me to a starting place. I ordered a bunch of mini rub ons. I have been blowing out ducks eggs & have bunches. I make ornaments for family every year. This year was going to be beaded jackets on the eggs but this will be oh so much easier.Thank you kindly
