"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps" - Page 1205

I didn't have internet for a few days so I had to catch up! Congrats on everyones new babies!! My little flock is doing well. I have trained the babies to sleep in the top portion of the tractor and the larger birds have their own home in the bottom. It is set up to be two different sleeping areas so it works quite well for them now. I let them out first thing in the morning and they return around 5-6pm then I just close them up. They can get food and water in the run attached to the tractor, but prefer to be let out to free range during the day. The sickly one (Minnie) is getting so much color in her comb and legs! I had no idea! No more mites anywhere, and the chickens scratch everywhere now! I think I might have gotten rid of the bugs! I am going to keep them on the medicated water for the full 10 days, but it looks like it did work!

I did also message Brandi about my disappointment with the seller so that she is at least aware of what someone not only was willing to do, but their lack of trying to help fix the problem with even a phone call that I was told I would get and never did. Maybe she can at least warn others of what to look for. I don't think that there would be any other reasonable solution at this point so it is what it is. I love my sickly chickens anyways! LOL

Anyone else new to chickens, please look for mites when you buy your chickens. Please don't buy ones with pale combs and legs, leave those to the experts for your first time, they are bound to end up making you learn chicken medicine from the get go! You will be proud of yourself when you fix them though!

Messaged you back on FB, and I will definitely try to make some guides for buyers, and I will try to patrol the sellers as best as possibly so we can make people with unhealthy birds leave.
