Hi: I live on the northshore between Ponchatoula and Robert. smile

My zoo includes my hubby of 28 years, 3 grown kids and three grandbabies. I am currently working on Lav/Split Ameraucana project, but I also have a few marans, silkies, a couple white leghorns, buff orphs, light sussex, welsmers, etc. I am a hatchaholic and I cannot stop! Glad to see some Louisiana folks on the forum. I live between West Monroe and Calhoun in north centra LAl. Started my chicken adventure early this year. Now have 35 assorted chickens plus 24 silkies and 6 blue standard cochins in the incubator, 10 miniature horses, 4 cats, one mini doxie and one rotten yorkie that belongs to hubby.

Would love to meet folks interested in chickens, square foot gardening, composting and vemicomposting with red wiggler worms.

This is Monique Gerald form Greenwell Springs, La again. (Just north of Baton Rouge) I just wanted to tell everyone hello again. I also enjoy reading and learning about my chickens. I work in a dentist office, and the people I work with think I'm crazy for having chickens. I tell them they are crazy for living in the city!! It's nice to have positive people at BYC I can relate to!!!
